Kurt Vonnegut was once getting ready to deliver a speech and the host noticed that he seemed nervous. “Don’t worry,” he told Vonnegut, “They know your work. They don’t really care what you say today. They’re only here to see if you’re an honest man.” Ira Marlowe takes this to heart. He performs regularly in the SF Bay Area and is known for the passion, energy, and variety of his live shows, but also for presenting himself and his work with humor and unfailing honesty.
